Getting Started
Onboarding Checklist
Step-by-step checklist to get your business fully configured.
The Setup Wizard
After creating your account, Calendence walks you through a guided setup wizard. Each step builds on the previous one — complete them in order for the smoothest experience.
Your progress is tracked automatically. You can leave and come back at any time.
Checklist
1. Business Profile
- Your business name (this shows up in your booking link)
- Address and timezone
- How you want to notify clients — email, SMS, or both
2. Services
- Add at least one service with a name, price, and duration
- That's all you need to start — descriptions, buffer time, deposits, and more can be added later
3. Team Members
- Invite team members by email (they inherit your business hours as defaults)
- Assign roles: Admin, Manager, or Staff
- Set individual working hours per day of week
- Assign skills to match team members with services they're qualified for
4. Locations
- Add your location with an address and timezone
- Set your operating hours (when you're open for bookings)
- If you have multiple locations, each gets its own hours and team
5. Connect Payments
- Connect your bank account through Stripe
- This lets you collect deposits, charge cancellation fees, and send invoices
- Client payments go directly to your account — Calendence never holds your money
6. Add Booking to Your Website
- Go to Account → Widget and copy the embed code
- Paste it on your website wherever you want the booking form to appear
- Test a booking to make sure everything works
After Setup
Once you're set up, your dashboard becomes your home base:
- See today's bookings and mark them complete
- Manage your services, team, and hours
- View client history and send invoices
- Check reports to see how the business is doing
