Onboarding Checklist

Step-by-step checklist to get your business fully configured.

The Setup Wizard

After creating your account, Calendence walks you through a guided setup wizard. Each step builds on the previous one — complete them in order for the smoothest experience.

Your progress is tracked automatically. You can leave and come back at any time.

Checklist

1. Business Profile

  • Business name and slug (used in your booking URL)
  • Address and timezone
  • Notification preferences (email, SMS, or both)

2. Services

  • Add at least one service with name, description, and pricing
  • Set duration (fixed or variable)
  • Configure buffer time before/after appointments
  • Optionally set deposit requirements

3. Staff Members

  • Invite team members by email
  • Assign roles: Admin, Manager, or Staff
  • Set individual working hours per day of week
  • Assign skills to match staff with services

4. Locations & Resources

  • Add your location(s) with address and timezone
  • Add resources like bays, lifts, or equipment
  • Assign staff to locations

5. Connect Payments

  • Connect your Stripe account via Stripe Express
  • This enables client payments, deposits, and cancellation fees
  • Payouts go directly to your bank account

6. Embed the Widget

  • Copy your publishable API key from the Hub Panel
  • Add the widget embed code to your website
  • Test a booking to verify everything works

After Setup

Once onboarding is complete, you'll land in the Company Panel where you can:

  • View and manage bookings
  • Send invoices
  • Communicate with clients
  • Adjust schedules and availability
